The Phoebe A3 is a smaller alternative to the Phoebe Original. Designed specifically to hold a sheet of A3 paper, one of the two types found in commercial photocopiers, the Phoebe A3 makes the concept of 'printing your own lamp' easier and more affordable than you could imagine. All sorts of other papers, fabrics and imagery can also be used.

Designed to Last

Phoebe is designed to move through life with its owner and easily adapt to each new phase.

To ensure this longevity the lamp is made from highly durable plastic, this plastic also holds and protects the decorative insert.

Phoebe is a ‘flat pack’ product and comes disassembled in post tube packaging, therefore making it easy to move around or send as a gift.

The Paper/Insert Size (42cm Wide x 29.7cm High)

The dimensions of the paper or insert used in the Phoebe A3 are the dimensions of an A3 piece of copy paper: 42cm wide and 29.7cm high. It is important to note that the insert for the Phoebe A3 is Landscape format, meaning it is an insert of proportions wider than it is tall. Any insert you use in the lamp, be it paper, a photo, or fabric, will need to be a maximum of this size to fit. It is however possible to trim larger sheets down, enlarge smaller artwork and images so that they fit or even collage smaller sheets together to decorate your lamp.

Trimming Your Insert to Fit

The simple way to trim your insert is to take it to your local printing house and for a small fee they will trim it to your required dimensions. 

When you buy your Phoebe you will always get a paper included so for the 'Do It Yourself' type you can use this as the template for making new inserts. Alternatively, A3 paper is readily available in shops everywhere. 

Printing Your Own Artwork/Image

It is possible to have any image copied or enlarged so that it fits into the Phoebe A3. Simply take your original artwork/image to a printing house and ask them to copy and print your original to be A3 size in Landscape format. For best results ask for the image to be printed on a minimum thickness of 100-140gsm paper.
