Rob Sanders
Madison Kipp Oiler light no.160
W) 430mm x (D) 230mm x (H) 490mm

Kipp was started in Illinois in the U.S.A. in 1898 to manufacture lubrication systems for industrial machinery. In 1920 they supplied oilers to Hart Parr for their early tractors and this is an application they are well known for.

The oiler this lamp dates to the 1970’s and was used as an automatic oiling system for a large industrial machine. Blue was chosen based on the original color, while the flexible pipes pay tribute to the oil system and pipes used to distribute the oil. The wooden base is recycled oak from a vintage truck.
